Murray United FC is delighted to announce that major sponsor, Albury SS&A, has recommitted to the club for a further three years.
In an announcement made at the SS&A in Albury today, SS&A Albury Chief Executive Gerard Darmody and Murray United Chairman Mark Byatt touched on the important partnership and where it can take both organisations and the region.
“The SS&A Club is proud to continue as the Major Sponsor of Murray United for a further three years.” said Darmody.
“MUFC has done a remarkable job of establishing the foundations of a strong regional club within the NPL system. These foundations provide the base from which it can continue to grow and provide regional players with the best football pathway outside of the metropolitan cities”.
“This sponsorship strengthens the SS&A and MUFC philosophy around giving regional players opportunities not only to develop as footballers but also as valued members within our wider community”.
MUFC Chairman Mark Byatt touched on the fact that the SS&A Club had been on board since day one.
“The new deal continues a relationship that started two years ago when we first entered into the competition and talked about the opportunities to foster the local soccer talent and provide a pathway to the A-League and beyond.”
“The SS&A Club was on board with the concept from day one.”
“What this deal does is re-affirm that commitment and provide Murray United FC with the confidence that we are on the right track.”
“The club’s on-field performance last year, improving on average two table positions from the inaugural season in our junior squads, shows the clubs commitment to player development, and is the envy of many regional and metropolitan clubs.”
“The SS&A Club’s ongoing support will ensure that we continue on this trajectory and at the same time maintain our standing as having the lowest registration fees for juniors in the NPL system.”
The deal means that the SS&A will continue to be the social home and events provider for MUFC. A large part of the sponsorship is going to be used to fund various club expenses associated with our juniors (playing shirts, equipment etc.) which results in us offering the lowest registration fees for junior players across the whole of NPL in Victoria.
It was also announced that SS&A sports bar ‘The Locker Room’ will remain the club’s shirt sponsor for the 2017 season.”
